Niamh Fitzpatrick first became aware of QCT after a friend put her in touch with Chris McMahon (The Treatment Room, Maynooth). Niamh began seeing Chris in April 2014 to get some help working through some of her own physical and emotional issues. After receiving her first QCT treatment she was very impressed by how much better she felt on all levels. Of course she straight away started to think of how this work could help the horses she worked with, especially the extremely sensitive horses, who struggled to cope with being touched at all. Niamh met with Stuart Breen, of the Irish Tai Chi Chuan association, when she started attending Tai Chi classes; not long after her first treatment with Chris. Stuart is one of the developers of QCT and they discussed the effectiveness of this treatment for horses and proceeded to schedule a demonstration session on Niamh’s own horse, Dynamo Dan.
